The kick-off times in Thai time, which games actually fit an evening out, and where to watch them with a cold pint and a proper burger.
Udon Thani has a big expat crowd, and a lot of them plan their weekend around the football. The catch is the clock. Thailand is seven hours ahead of the UK for most of the season, so the late UK kick-offs land after midnight here. Before you pick a bar, it helps to know which games you can realistically watch with dinner and which ones are a 3 a.m. job.
Times below are for the 2026/27 winter.
The UK went back to winter time on 25 October 2026, so until 28 March 2027, add 7 hours to the UK kick-off time. Thailand doesn't change its clocks.
| UK kick-off | Thai time (winter) |
| Saturday 12:30 | Saturday 19:30 |
| Saturday 15:00 | Saturday 22:00 |
| Saturday 17:30 | Sunday 00:30 |
| Sunday 14:00 | Sunday 21:00 |
| Sunday 16:30 | Sunday 23:30 |
| Weeknights 19:30 / 20:00 | 02:30 / 03:00 the next morning |
From 28 March 2027 the UK is on summer time again: add 6 hours instead, so a 15:00 kick-off is 21:00 in Udon.
The sweet spot is the Saturday 12:30 kick-off (19:30 in Udon) and the Sunday 14:00 games (21:00). Both finish well before midnight, so you can eat, watch the whole match and still get home at a sensible hour. The Saturday 15:00 games (22:00 here) end close to midnight once stoppage time is added. The 17:30 Saturday game, the late Sunday slot and the midweek fixtures are for the die-hards. You'll want a bar that stays open late, or your sofa.
Brick House is a family-run Western and Thai restaurant with a proper bar, a short walk from Central Plaza. It has live sport on 5 screens: football, rugby, F1, boxing. If it matters, it's on. Ask the staff for the sound. There's a garden for the cooler evenings, a darts board and a pool table for half-time, and the full menu to order from.
We're open every day from 07:00 until midnight. That covers the Saturday 19:30 and Sunday 21:00 kick-offs from start to final whistle. The Saturday 22:00 games end right around closing time, and the 23:30 and 00:30 games run past it. If there's one particular match you don't want to miss, call 081 178 6187 to check it's on.
Football food, done properly. A few favourites from the menu:
On tap: Guinness (170.- / 320.- big), Kilkenny, Old Speckled Hen, Magners cider and Heineken. Or a big Chang or Leo for 110.- / 100.-.
In winter (late October to late March) add 7 hours to the UK time: 12:30 is 19:30, 15:00 is 22:00, 17:30 is 00:30. In UK summer time add 6 hours.
The Saturday 19:30 and Sunday 21:00 kick-offs fit comfortably before midnight closing; the Saturday 22:00 games end around closing time. Call 081 178 6187 to check a specific match is on.
